Got my order in a timely fashion and was the best price I could find out there! I really use these a lot so I wanted a backup. Thank you.
Many Parts means plenty of options....but there are many parts!
There are 2-3 other suppliers of lids for wide mouth Mason jars (tip of the hat to Kerr). I make oat milk for grandkids and put it in 2 qt wide mouth jars. My wife finds it much easier to pour when it has one of these lids with a handle. Same with our summer time sun tea. This kit comes with strainer inserts for making loose leaf tea, or to strain out lemon or orange pips from any "squeeze your own" concoctions. There is also a screw on tighter seal cap that we use for oat milk as it is often necessary to shake the jar to mix up the contents before pouring. The "con" side of these would be that you need a storage space to keep track of all the extra parts. The recessed spot provided on the lid simply does not securely hold the extra cap (which bounce 10-12 feet every time they fall off!) For some reason they also decided the handle should be removable and designed a clip to fold down and secure it. Unfortunately, this clip to lock the handle in place is itself only held in place by two snaps. Weve already had a clip "shoot out across the floor" when the lid was dropped - and it took 5 minutes to get it aligned and snapped back on!I closing, my wife favors this one. I prefer the simpler approach of a one piece unit sold be others. So we bought both!
