Looks great! Oh wait, that's me in the mirror!
Has some pretty heavy duty hangers, but I really didn't want to drill into the glass tile so I just glued the mirror to the wall with high-hold silicone caulk. It's not recommended but If I try to pull the mirror off I'm sure tiles would release first. Love the way it looks but this bathroom is way too fancy for me now and I'm uncomfortable using it.
GORGEOUS!!!
Absolutely stunning mirror! I was a bit skeptical to order online without being able to view the mirror in person, but I read all the positive reviews and decided to give it a try. What a nice surprise at the quality...the mirror is so well made and sturdy with a gorgeous metal frame. The hardware to hang the mirror is included and more than sufficient to hang directly into sheetrock.
Better than I expected!
Better than I expected. Beautifully made. Nice quality mirror. The gold is the current modern gold being used in most interior decorating right now. Like a brushed champagne, with a very slight green to dull some of the over bright brass look. It is a heavy mf, so be ready for that when hanging.
Disappointed in how I received my mirror!
I was very disappointed once I received the mirror. While the front (most important part) was in good shape, the back was a different story. I’ve uploaded some photos to showcase how exactly I took it out of the box and how it was delivered. The hooks are not directly across from each other as one was higher than the other, there were scrapes on the back, missing a nail (which we supplemented) and one of the screws wasn’t even tightened with a crack in the black area. The overall product was good. It looks good on the wall and I decided to keep it since this was just the back portion which no one would ever see.
The hanging hardware is fine
The mirrors are gorgeous. Heavy and well made. The color is a lovely champagne bronze - not the tacky yellow/gold you often see. As most reviews mentioned, these are very, very heavy, and it understandably makes you wonder whether it's safe to hang using the hardware provided. The answer is yes. The picture hanging hooks provided can hold up to 50lb each (100lb between the 2 of them), and the mirror weighs approx. 30lb. We hung ours on drywall - they did not align with studs. No problem. Sure, you can get your own anchors if you want, but I really don't see the need to, and I personally prefer a single nail than having to drill a hole for an anchor (I hate drilling into drywall). It's possible that there have been one or two mishaps, but Hamilton Hills mirrors have hundreds if not thousands of consistently near-perfect reviews for a reason, and I hardly think the company would risk the reputation of their products by providing you with hardware that is unfit for the job. My one complaint is that the hardware on the back of the mirror was mounted at slightly different heights for the two mirrors we got (2/8 inch), making it unnecessarily difficult to get the two mirrors hung neatly side by side, but we managed and I won't deduct a full star for it.
